THE TEAM & ROLE
The role of the International Employers team within OpenClassrooms is to identify and execute international expansion and develop blue sky territories of business. The team works across Europe, the US, and AsiaPac with employers, academic partners, and public/social bodies to provide and grow job-ready talent to employers.

To achieve our mission and growth ambitions, we are now recruiting for a Senior Director of Enterprise Sales who will help us scale OpenClassrooms in the US market. You will be helping Enterprise clients to reskill and upskill their employees into new high-demand career pathways, such as tech, utilizing apprenticeships, eLearning content, and platform.

About You
As a self-motivated and experienced sales professional, you use consultative selling experience with an entrepreneurial flair to find and grow a blue sky corporate customer base within the F1000. You have between 7-15 years of senior sales and business development experience in the US, within Learning & Development, HigherEducation, EdTech, or Saas Sales. Experience selling Apprenticeship programs into F1000 companies is highly desirable. Candidates must have experience presenting compelling and winning value propositions to prospective clients. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and understand the sales funnel, opportunity, and pipeline process.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Director of Business Development, your responsibilities will include:
  • Build a solid enterprise sales and lead generation plan that will exceed sales goals
  • Identify and win business with enterprise clients through ongoing and strategic prospecting and follow-up
  • Leverage our global customer base to cross-sell in the US
  • Represent OpenClassrooms at industry and sector events to build a network and leads
  • Own, nurture, and close qualified leads generated by business development
  • Own and manage your individual sales pipeline from discovery to close
  • Develop partner-specific proposals, concept papers, presentations, and marketing documents that communicate the core concepts of our strategy, mission, impact, and products to multiple audiences
  • Manage proposals that require coordination between multiple internal teams
  • Understand OpenClassrooms offerings, articulate the features and benefits based on customer needs. Work with the senior sales team on presentations, pipeline management, and deal closure.
  • Expand relationships with current and future customers through ongoing and strategic follow-up, communication, and outreach
  • Provide regular updates and reporting on accounts, opportunities, issues, and forecasts using CRM and other tools.
  • Proactively engage and work collaboratively with Marketing, Comms, and Education teams to enhance market positioning and product fit over time

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Passion for seeking and securing new relationships with senior stakeholders to secure new customers and sales wins
  • Strong consultative selling skills with a sales over-achievement track record
  • Experience and an existing network in the US apprenticeship, Bootcamp, vocational training, tech recruitment, or education technology sector (Sales experience to HR stakeholders is a be a big plus)
  • Excellent business writing and editing skills and strong attention to detail
  • Extensive experience in a role that requires significant writing in support of complex projects is preferred (consulting, pre-sales, consultative sales, partnerships)
  • Business acumen, analytical ability with a data-driven approach to solving problems
  • Demonstrated project management skills and a love of getting things done
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to thrive and develop relationships in fast-paced, collaborative, and ambiguous environments
  • A hands-on, “roll up the sleeves,” action-oriented approach
  • Strong personal passion for education, technology, employability, and a strong belief in the mission of OpenClassrooms

HIRING PROCESS

1. The journey starts with the first interview with a member of the Talent Acquisition team.
2. Then a videoconference with the Manager of the team you are applying to join.
3. This will then be followed by a case study to validate your practical job-related skills.
4. For the very final round, you will meet other stakeholders / team members.
At the end of the process, you will be asked to provide us with professional references including contact details.
