We are currently accepting applications for an Academic Advisor. This position will be responsible for providing academic advising and admission counseling to current and prospective students.

Job Duties:Duties and Responsibilities include but aren’t limited to:
• Provide academic advising to new and returning students.
• Provide admission counseling, including assisting with program selection, for new and transfer students.
• Create, schedule and provide orientation for new and returning students
• Recruit students at community events, including in local schools as needed.
• Provide campus tours to groups and individuals as needed.
• Plan, schedule and provide student activities.
• Supervise SGA/Student Ambassadors.
• Provide training.
• Travel to local high schools, community partners, all campuses and other places as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:The qualified applicant will have a Bachelor’s degree and four years related experience and a current driver’s license. Minimal evening/night and weekend work is required.
Preferred Qualifications:The preferred candidates will have experience in public speaking, working in student affairs and have a complete understanding of the student’s pipeline. Some higher education/student affairs experience is desired.
