What You'll Be Doing
- Provide personalized academic advising that supports student success, growth, and belonging.
- Empower students to be active, responsible learners by helping them make informed academic, career, and life decisions.
- Guide students through course planning, registration, degree requirements, and academic progress toward graduation.
- Build meaningful relationships through regular communication and proactive outreach.
- Connect students with experiential learning opportunities, campus programs, and resources that enrich their Purdue experience.
- Utilize data and student insights to identify opportunities for intervention, encouragement, and support.
- Refer students to appropriate campus resources when additional assistance is needed.
- Educate students about university policies, procedures, and academic systems while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality.

Qualified candidates will need:
- Must have an earned graduate or professional degree in a field relevant to the position.
Skills needed:
- Demonstrated commitment to work effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds
- Ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, current and prospective students, parents, and families
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to solve problems and utilize campus resources for individuals and groups
- Ability and willingness to work in a changing environment
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
