As an Academic Advisor, you will:
- Provide high quality academic advice and counseling regarding coursework and professional career opportunities for students in the undergraduate biochemistry and forensic science degree programs.
- Participate in activities to foster recruiting and retention of students in biochemistry, forensic science, and the college to include the preparation of a yearly report to track the graduates from these programs.

Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in science, education, or social science field plus experience in student development, advising, and/or recruitment.
- Demonstrated experience advising diverse student backgrounds in order to apply inclusive advising strategies for all students.
- Demonstrated advising using student information systems and technology platforms.
- Ability to learn and stay current of complex academic requirements, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and oral skills, writing skills, organization/time management skills, and computer skills.
- Ability to work as an effective team member.
