The College of Education is hiring an Academic Advisor II. This role involves leading academic advising for the campus-based Elementary Bachelor’s degree program, managing admissions, monitoring student progress, and supporting various academic and student services including scholarship processes and undergraduate research initiatives.
Highlights
- Lead academic advisor for the Elementary Bachelor’s degree program and coordinate native and transfer admissions.
- Provide general advising for minors and graduate certificate programs in educator preparation.
- Recruit applicants at internal and external events and coordinate transfer admissions for all undergraduate majors.
- Manage degree certification processes and support NCAA compliance for student-athletes.
- Assist with scholarship application processes and undergraduate research programs.
- Analyze enrollment and student achievement data, prepare reports, and maintain electronic student records databases.
- Required qualifications include a Master’s degree in education, counseling, or related field with one year of relevant experience or a Bachelor’s degree with two years of experience.
- Preferred skills include proficiency in Microsoft Office, data management tools, and familiarity with University of Florida policies and educator certification requirements.
- Compensation range is $57,000 to $60,000 per year.
- Collaborate with various departments and serve as liaison to teacher preparation programs.
