Academic Advisor (part-time/temporary) Full Description

General Summary of Position:

  • General academic advising for students on program and general education requirements; registration matters; departmental, college, and university policies and procedures; academic success strategies; financial literacy; graduation requirements; and career options.
  • Manage, advise, and provide outreach to students with academic alerts, on academic warning, students readmitting to the university, and others that may require added support and contact throughout the semester.
  • Collaborate on student retention initiatives, conduct re-enrollment outreach, and deliver academic success skills presentations and workshops.
  • Collaborate with the Solution Center, Career Services, Registrar's Offices, Admissions, and other campus offices to resolve barriers to success and ensure students receive timely information, support, and guidance.
  • Routinely maintain and update undergraduate student records online via Salesforce CRM.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Bachelor's Degree with experience in higher education or similar field.
  • Working knowledge of Student Information Systems (SIS) and Salesforce CRM preferred.
  • Working knowledge of academic support and student success practices.
