The Department of Sociology and Criminology & Law is hiring an Academic Assistant I. This role supports academic program operations for graduate and undergraduate programs by assisting with advising processes, coordinating admissions, scheduling courses, and managing academic records. The position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to handle administrative tasks to uphold the department's educational missions.
Highlights
- Support with enrollment, registration, and degree certification processes
- Assist in maintaining academic records and managing admissions applications
- Prepare and manage course schedules and instructional activities
- Greet and advise students and visitors on academic processes
- Manage office tasks, including supply inventories and event coordination
- Knowledge of UF policies and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required
- Compensation: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
- High school diploma or equivalent with two years of relevant experience required
