Job Summary/Basic Function
Provide health sciences tutoring to Upward Bound high school students during the academic year, mainly on Saturday mornings at weekly study hall, and also by appointment throughout the week, as requested by students.

**This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.
Required Qualifications
Involved in a post-secondary institution with a major in the pertinent academic discipline or evidence of equivalent knowledge and/or experience.

Experience and/or knowledge in the special problems of minority, low income, first generation, and physically disabled students

Experience in tutoring, mentoring, and/or community service with high school level students.
Preferred Qualifications
B.A./B.S. in pertinent academic discipline preferred, but not required.

Graduate of TRiO program or experience in overcoming the challenges and/or circumstances similar to those of the target population.
