Guild is hiring an Academy Learning Designer for our Academy product. Guild Academy builds scalable, social learning experiences for some of the world’s leading organizations. 

As an Academy Learning Designer on our Guild Academy team you’ll design innovative programs and modules, contribute to writing content, and then partner with a cross-functional team to bring the course content to life—and ensure it stays fresh and aligned with evolving client needs.

As Learning Designer, you will:
  • Work with clients (and internal stakeholders) to understand learner and organizational needs; identify skills, capabilities and mindset shifts for learning to address
  • Design innovative, engaging, interactive programs that unlock specific business outcomes and behavior changes
  • Make informed decisions on program structure, content, and interactive exercises
  • Source feedback and input from subject matter experts to shape content outlines, ensure accuracy, and maintain voice and tone standards.
  • Support content coming to life by identifying relevant industry experts, shadowing interviews, and partnering with editors and producers
  • Contribute to program writing with your unique ability to distill down complex concepts and topics to simple, engaging and salient points
  • Analyze content performance and learner feedback to continuously improve course impact
  • Contribute to written elements within the learning programs, modules and client-facing materials, as needed

You are a strong fit for this role if you:
  • Have a strong intuition for stories and wording what will resonate, spark interest and drive action and an unrelenting eye for quality
  • Are unphased by complexity with an ability to bring order to chaos and explain things in simple terms
  • Pick up new technologies quickly, learn by doing, and specifically have experience leveraging AI-based tools in your work with a bias toward efficiency and exploring new approaches
  • Have experience as a writer working on deadlines and delivering creative, human, authentic writing that surprises, challenges, and engages hard to reach audiences.
  • Are willing and able to flex across Learning Design, AI prompting, writing, and stakeholder engagement and enjoy being part of a dynamic, fast-paced team

Preferred Competencies:
  • Experience with AI Tools in accelerating and improving writing and editorial processes
  • Experience with analytics tools and data-driven content optimization
  • Knowledge of leadership development and workplace communication frameworks and experts
  • Background or training in instructional design or adult learning theory; and/or relevant experience teaching or delivering engaging in-person learning experiences

This role offers a competitive total compensation package, including a base salary of $75,800 - $106,100, and stock options. Compensation offered will be based on a combination of factors such as experience, competencies, and internal equity.
