Future Opportunities: Account Executive

Remote

We are building the sales team that will define the next phase of growth at Joyful Reading Company. Following a series of acquisitions and expansion of our product suite, we’re investing heavily in growing our go-to-market team, creating meaningful opportunities to take ownership, build, and grow with the business.

If you are a competitive seller who wants to build pipeline, close deals, and grow with a team on the rise, we want to meet you early in the process.

The ideal candidate will have 3 or more of the following:
  • Experience as a librarian or teacher
  • Experience using Beanstack
  • Experience working for a company with 25-100 employees
  • Experience in sales, especially EdTech, LibraryTech, or SaaS sales

The role: 
You will join a dynamic, fun, and growth-oriented sales team made up of Business Development Representatives (BDR) and Account Executives (AE). You will be teamed with one or more BDRs to execute a territory plan designed to drive pipeline and close revenue. You’ll engage stakeholders ranging from individual schools to district-level leaders. From there, you’ll learn more about the challenges they face, demonstrate Joyful Reading Co.’s product suite, and engage with them throughout the evaluation process, helping them make the best decision for their students.

On a typical day you will be ...
  • Leading discovery calls, product demos, and follow-up meetings to guide prospects through evaluation (50%).
  • Crafting personalized outreach to generate new and nurture existing opportunities via email and phone (25%).
  • Tracking all activity in Hubspot (5%).
  • Creating a territory plan in partnership with your BDR that includes outreach plans and expected outcomes. (10%).
  • Engaging in internal meetings with your team leader, the sales team, and occasional all company meetings. (10%).

Compensation:
We offer a competitive base salary, uncapped commission, and benefits. On-target commission may vary slightly based on territory or role. Leveling is determined based on experience and overall alignment with the role.

Associate Account Executive:
  • Base: $60-$80k
  • On-target commission: $25-40k
  • On-target earnings: $85-$120k+

Account Executive
  • Base: $75-$110k
  • On-target commission: $35-50k
  • On-target earnings: $110-$160k+

Senior Account Executive
  • Base: $100-$130k
  • On-target commission: $45-60k
  • On-target earnings: $145-$190k+
