Wilson Language training is growing and is looking to hire a Sales Account Executive for the Northern California, Oregon and State of Washington region.

The ideal candidate must be a skilled communicator and presenter who can find the best fit between the client and product. The candidate must also be experienced in sales, passionate about client relations and focused on enhancing the buyer experience. This position is directly responsible for the preservation and expansion of the client base. In addition, the ideal candidate will have significant experience as an Account Executive in K-12 structured literacy sales in the California market.

Job Summary:
The Account Executive is responsible for identifying client opportunities and managing client relationships. This is a high-energy position with the objective of turning leads into long-lasting partnerships.

The Account Executive will communicate directly with clients and prospects, understand their individual needs, and recommend products and services that maximize value. This may include partnering with program subject matter experts.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Develop sales strategies and achieve quotas.
  • Identify opportunities with prospects and new clients and build them into long-term profitable relationships.
  • Building long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with external contacts and internal departments to create a better customer experience.
  • Create detailed business plans designed to attain predetermined goals and objectives.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from finding a client to securing a deal.
  • Unearth new sales opportunities through networking and turn them into long-term partnerships.
  • Present and demonstrate the value of products and services to prospective buyers.
  • Follow up with prospects several times throughout the sales cycle to ensure needs are being met.
  • Provide professional after-sales support to maximize client loyalty.
  • Remain in regular contact with clients to understand and meet their needs.
  • Respond to complaints and resolve issues to the client’s satisfaction and to maintain the company’s reputation.
  • Negotiate agreements and keep records of sales and data.
  • Compiling and analyzing data to find trends.
  • Staying current on company offerings and industry trends.
  • Maintaining a database of contact information.
  • Build long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with external contacts and internal departments to create a better customer experience.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 60% to effectively manage the territory.
  • Handle complaints and negotiations.
  • Understand and display WLT’s values.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
Skills:
  • Proven experience as an Account Executive in K-12 structured literacy
  • Significant experience managing a large territory in the California market
  • Experience managing and executing multiple pilots effectively.
  • Prior experience with state adoptions is a plus.
  • Knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles
  • Knowledge of MS Office; CRM software (Salesforce).
  • Strong communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong business acumen
  • Enthusiastic and passionate

Education or Certification:
  • Bachelors’ degree in business administration, sales, or marketing

Wilson has identified the anticipated pay range for this role based on the many factors that we consider in defining compensation levels for our roles, including market data, and internal equity considerations. Actual pay, and allocation between base and any target variable pay, will vary based on geographic location, education, work experience, skills, market data, and internal equity considerations.
