Microsoft Office RFP Sales

This position will require you to be located in Cleveland, OH We are in a hybrid schedule, 2 days on campus and 3 days WFH. 
The Account Executive's responsibilities include direct sales of the company’s main product lines and meeting and exceeding projected sales goals through targeted sales initiatives. This role requires deep understanding of OverDrive’s products and services, as well as experience developing trusted relationships with current and future partners/customers.  
  • Drive revenue growth in assigned territory and meet sales quotas and other KPIs.
  • Research, develop, and maintain an understanding of assigned territory, including prospects and existing partners in the school and library spaces within territory.
  • Generate and qualify leads through cold-calling, relationship selling, referral activity and lead follow-up. Convert leads into qualified sales pipeline, providing detailed product knowledge to share in appropriate form with potential leads.
  • Regularly travel to key accounts to present updates for the purpose of reinforcing the OverDrive value proposition and advocating for more budget.
  • Forecast and manage pipeline for accounts on a monthly / quarterly / annual basis.
  • Drive demand in assigned territory through focused telephone campaigns, workshops, webinars, mass emails, and other innovative demand generation activities.
  • Manage and forecast budgeting for key accounts and meet sales goals.
  • Generate proposals (RFP) for new business, coordinate outbound sales initiatives such as mass emails, convert leads into a qualified sales pipeline, perform cold calls.
  • Analyze and disseminate competitor information internally.
  • Produce or assist with the development of local marketing material and presentations that provide detailed product information.
  • Represent OverDrive at relevant exhibitions, conferences and industry associations.
  • Work collaboratively with the International team to conceive and implement new strategies for driving business growth.
  • Assist with the development of sales campaigns and incentives to meet sales goals.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years’ of consultative sales experience.
  • Confident, proactive, and energetic; professional and team-oriented sales approach.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage cross group relationships within OverDrive (i.e., business development, marketing, product management, and development, etc.).
  • Team player.
  • Outstanding Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience prospecting and developing high-level customer relationships.
  • Excellent presentation and closing skills in person, via web and / or phone.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Outbound sales call and account management experience.
  • Working knowledge of publishing, library and / or school industries.
