Accounting Technician, Payment Processing Full Description

Job Summary
The Accounting Technican, for Payment Processing is responsible for processing, posting, and reconciling payments, providing account support to both internal and external stakeholders, and maintaining accurate records in university financial systems. This role collaborates closely with the Account Resolution Team (ART) and other departments to ensure timely, accurate billing and payment application.

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Three years of experience in customer service, account management, business or a related field.
 
Skills Needed:
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Experience in a high volume/fast paced workplace.
  • Purdue University experience.
  • Experience with accounts receivable, billing/collections, or financial operations.
  • Proficiency with SAP, FIAR, or other accounting systems.
