This position serves a dual-function role that blends the responsibilities of an Area Administrative Assistant and the Administrative Assistant for The Walsh Group Director of Internships (Experiential Learning). The individual in this position will play a critical role in supporting both internal operations and external engagement efforts tied to the Construction Engineering (CNE) and Civil Engineering (CE) programs. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and passionate about supporting student success, faculty excellence, and alumni/industry engagement.

What You'll Be Doing:
Advisory Board Coordination (CNE and CE):
- Organize and execute all logistics for advisory board meetings and communication
- Maintain accurate membership records and board engagement metrics
- Support collaborative initiatives between the CNE and CE boards, including shared strategic planning
Alumni Engagement (CCE):
- Serve as the primary liaison for alumni relations for the Lyles School of Civil and Construction Engineering working with the events coordinator to establish outreach, events, and communications to strengthen alumni connections
- Support the development and execution of alumni-driven initiatives in collaboration with the development office
Special Projects Support (CCE):
- Assist in planning and support of the steering committee regarding initiatives tied to the CNE 50th Anniversary (Fall 2026–Spring 2027); as well as WBC, ANET, and other events.
- Manage schedules, invitations, marketing materials, and communications for celebration activities in conjunction with the Assistant Head and CCE Program Manager.
Experiential Learning Assistant:
- Provide administrative and logistical support to The Walsh Group Director of Internships (Experiential Learning) team.
- Assist with data collection, reporting, and communication-related to internship/co-op programs.
- Coordinate travel, site visit logistics, and event support related to student internships and industry partner engagement
Faculty and Program Support:
- Provide administrative support primarily for Construction Area faculty activities, including the planning of the World Building Congress (WBC) and ABET preparation.
- Coordinate travel, reimbursements, purchasing, and other logistical needs.
- Support communications, document preparation, and general administrative functions.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or the School Head

Education and Experience
Qualified candidates will need:
- High school diploma or GED
Skills needed:
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
- Experience coordinating events and external engagement efforts
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with higher education or civil and construction engineering environments preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort working with digital platforms for event and data management
