Administrative Business Professional Full Description

Position Summary
The Administrative Business Professional position provides comprehensive human resources, payroll, and financial administration support for Agriculture and Natural Resource Research and Extension Centers (ANRREC) within AgBioResearch across multiple ANRREC and Campus Livestock Research Centers. This position serves as the primary HR hiring and onboarding lead within the unit and supports financial reporting, payroll processes, and transactional activities within MSU financial systems. The role requires a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and collaboration with farm managers and unit leadership.

Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in a business-related field; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in office procedures and administration, or operational activities; experience with word processing, database, spreadsheet, presentation software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Knowledge of human resources, payroll, and financial administration practices in a complex organization.
  • Familiarity with MSU financial and HR systems (or ability to learn quickly), including UltraTime, EBS/KFS/SAP, and related reporting tools.
