POSITION SPECIFICS
The Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and dedicated individual to join the Administration Office team as an Administrative Support Manager (Manager level). The successful candidate will possess an extensive background in business administration, demonstrate a willingness to lead, and thrive in a team-based environment. This role involves the oversight of staff assigned to support several key areas within the college, including the Dean's suite, Undergraduate, Graduate, Advising, Internship and Career Placement, Diversity and Inclusion, and Facilities and IT offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a positive climate among a diverse group of staff, faculty, administrators, and students.
- Assist with complex and confidential administrative duties and responsibilities as authorized by the Dean and Director of Administration.
- Resolve inquiries and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Recommend changes and/or develop and maintain internal processes and procedures.
- Review office operations and lead efforts to maintain productive teamwork and a positive culture.
- Coordinate support staff professional development on topics such as University systems, policies and procedures, risk management, professional communication, and customer service.
- Work closely with support staff to assess and implement training as new systems and processes are introduced.
- Supervise, evaluate, and manage time and attendance records for assigned staff.
- Serve as liaison between department/unit leads and assigned support staff to manage assignments and projects, develop work plans, and ensure efficient workflow.
- Oversee operational and administrative processes and monitor deadlines.
- Act as a Budget Administrator proxy, working closely with Department Heads, Unit Directors, and the SFP Group to submit budgetary documentation, review and approve transactions, and ensure departmental spending remains within budget.
Qualifications and Essential Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and sound judgment.
- Enthusiasm for challenges and adaptability to new systems.
- Extensive experience in effective business and personnel management is strongly preferred.

SALARY & BENEFITSThe salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $51,000.00 - $74,000.00.
