Admission Records Specialist Full Description

SCAD Savannah seeks a highly skilled admission records specialist to code, generate letters, index, and maintain update requests. The specialist will also maintain records in the applicant and admitted databases.

As an admission records specialist, you will code acceptances for undergraduate students and SCAD Rising Star participants, as well as process and record scholarships in the database. You will print and review acceptance and scholarship letters for content and accuracy, making corrections when needed. Once completed, you will prepare and mail award letters and certificates to all scholarship recipients and their teachers, as appropriate. Additionally, you will deliver scholarship letters for mailing along with acceptance packets and electronically organize letters into each recipient’s file. Additional responsibilities include logging enrollment fees for incoming students, processing alumni enrollment fee waivers, and updating changes to students' application information.

In this role, you will report directly to the director of admission operations. You will research and resolve database reporting questions and audits, submitting JIRA requests to ensure database integrity. During peak admission periods, you will assist with mail merging and editing letters, labels, name tags, and other documents as needed. Participation in special events is required. Other duties may be assigned to support the department's success and to fulfill the university’s mission: to prepare talented students for professional careers, emphasizing learning through individual attention in a positively oriented university environment.

The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent organization and problem-solving skills to provide administrative support.

Minimum qualifications:  
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Computer skills
  • Able to participate in evening and weekend work and travel as needed

Certificates, licenses, and registrations: 
  • Valid driver's license

Travel required: 
  • Less than 10%

Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
