Primary Duties and
Responsibilities: | Position purpose:
The Part-Time Admissions Coordinator for the Inman College of Nursing (ICON) serves as a key member of Belmont's Admissions team, providing temporary support during a staff member's maternity leave.
Essential Functions: This role is primarily responsible for facilitating prospective student information sessions, fielding questions from prospective students, and supporting marketing and social media initiatives for ICON. The coordinator will work closely with Admissions, ICON leadership, faculty and students, and University Marketing to engage prospective students and families, communicate Belmont's unique educational opportunities, and support enrollment goals.
1. Facilitate daily in-person and virtual information sessions for prospective ICON students and families. Support campus visit programs, open houses, and other recruitment events.
2. Provide excellent customer service and assist prospective students throughout their engagement with the university. Serve as a knowledgeable resource for prospective nursing students by communicating Inman College of Nursing application requirements, deadlines, and admissions processes.
3. Assist with social media content creation and management across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Support recruitment marketing efforts, including promotional materials, email communications, and event marketing. Collaborate with Admissions and University Marketing to increase awareness and engagement with prospective students.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities): Bachelor's degree required. (No nursing or medical experience required!)Experience in admissions, higher education, student recruitment, marketing, communications, event planning, or a related field preferred.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong presentation and public speaking abilities.Experience with social media platforms and basic marketing practices.Ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Availability from 10:30 - 12pm Monday through Friday. The rest of the hours can be decided upon depending on the candidate's availability.Availability for occasional evening and weekend recruitment events.Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally and regionally as needed.Experience working in a fast-paced environment and the ability to respond to high-pressure situations. Ability to thrive in an environment of hard work.Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies.
Required Education | Associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred. High school diploma or GED required.
Required Experience | Experience in admissions, higher education, student recruitment, marketing, communications, event planning, or a related field preferred.
