Admissions Recruitment Specialist Full Description

Position Summary:

The Office of Admissions at the NYU School of Professional Studies (SPS) is seeking an Admissions Recruitment Specialist.

 

The Admissions Recruitment Specialist will be the main point of contact for prospective students and lead recruitment efforts which attract a broad range of applicants to the SPS Division of Applied Undergraduate Studies (DAUS) degree offerings including onsite and fully online Associate and Bachelor’s degrees. The individual will play a key role in hosting recruiting and yield events (virtual/on campus) and lead efforts to attract and engage student populations across the country. Nurture existing relationships with community colleges and partner institutions and develop new feeder school and partner pipelines of students to DAUS. Develop coaching relationships with applicants to advise them of academic program options to meet their goals. Work closely with SPS departments to identify, develop and implement new recruitment initiatives (utilizing virtual, technology, social media) to increase enrollment of non-traditional students including adult learners, transfer students, active duty service members/veterans.

Qualifications:

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:
2+ years Admissions or related student advising experience.

Preferred Experience:
Experience evaluating transcripts for transfer credit. Experience with working with non-traditional student populations including adult learners, transfer students (community college and adults with some college credit, active-duty service members/veterans, first generation students).

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to promote the University and to work independently as well as part of a team. Outstanding interpersonal, public speaking, and writing skills. Ability to handle sensitive situations and/or people. Valid driver's license. Ability to work evenings, weekends, remotely, and travel extensively. Ability to market online and onsite programs and serve as a liaison between admissions and academic program officers.

Additional Information:

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $79,999.97. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
