Job Description 
Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. Reynolds is seeking an Admissions Specialist to support prospective and current students throughout the enrollment process. This role plays a vital part in delivering excellent customer service, ensuring compliance with institutional policies, and maintaining accurate student records.

The role includes, but is not limited to, the following duties: Assisting students, faculty, and visitors by providing accurate information about admissions policies, procedures, and deadlines Reviewing and verifying student eligibility for enrollment and tuition rate benefits Entering, updating, and retrieving student data using the Student Information System (SIS) Screening and processing admissions-related forms and supporting documentation Maintaining organized and up-to-date campus enrollment records

Special Assignments  | May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

Demonstrate extensive knowledge of college academic offerings and enrollment services Utilize Student Information Systems to support campus enrollment and academic operations Interpret and apply regulations related to enrollment of non-U.S. citizens, domicile eligibility for in-state tuition, and the release of confidential student information Deliver high-quality customer service aligned with best practices in higher education Communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and external agencies across diverse cultural backgrounds Interpret and explain college policies, procedures, and enrollment guidelines Manage multiple priorities and high-volume workloads while meeting critical deadlines Evaluate student records to determine eligibility for enrollment and tuition classification Research and analyze regulations, policies, and data to resolve issues and support decision-making Prepare clear, concise written communications and engage in effective verbal dialogue Travel between campuses to oversee and support enrollment services activities Operate a personal computer and effectively use software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
