Advisor and Academic Services Manager Full Description

Position Summary: The Advisor and Academic Services Manager is a part of the team responsible for managing the day-to-day academic services and advising operations related to the undergraduate and graduate degrees in Integrated Design & Media (IDM) within the Technology, Culture, and Society department. Advise students on issues such as curriculum requirements, course selection, registration, and career development. Responsible for the TCS Department’s communications and development initiatives, including the website, social media, and event promotion. Support TCS academic services and course scheduling. Support the management of grant budgets and supervise student staff.

Qualifications:
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a related area

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree In art/design- field related to IDM

Required Experience:
5+ years experience in higher education, communications, operations, and program/project management, supervision, managing budgets or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Must be able to use Microsoft office + Google software, and be capable of working with program management, webinar hosting, and internal administrative software. Excellent communication skills (oral and written). Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision, strong in follow-through skills, and be able to support relationships with internal and external university partners. Experience with web publishing and CMS. Detail-oriented and be able to prepare complex documents (such as course schedules) with minimal errors. Quick learner to master new skills.

Additional Information: In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $77,000.00 to USD $97,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
