As a remote-friendly company, hybrid and remote team members work from states across the U.S. and internationally. The majority of our US employees enjoy the opportunity to work from home, or in a hybrid capacity in our offices in Tempe, AZ (headquarters), Austin, TX, Petaluma, CA, Rock Rapids, IA, Grand Rapids, MI, or Bloomington, MN.
Imagine Your Impact.
The AI revolution in K-12 education needs builders, not spectators. We're looking for a product leader who can harness generative AI to fundamentally reimagine how millions of students learn - not incrementally improve what already exists. This is your chance to define what AI-powered education means. As our AI Product Manager, you'll be the orchestrator between breakthrough technology and classroom reality - shipping features that make teachers say "finally!" and students want to use. You'll move fast, validate relentlessly, and build products that prove AI isn't just hype in education.
- Ship-first mentality: You'd rather launch an imperfect v1 and iterate based on real usage than debate hypotheticals. Every sprint ends with something teachers and students can try.
- User obsession meets technical fluency: You can debug prompts with engineers at 10am and run teacher interviews at 2pm - translating between both worlds effortlessly.
- Data-driven storyteller: You wield analytics like a scalpel: finding truth, then crafting narratives that get entire teams to pivot. Your PRDs are calls to action backed by evidence.
- Responsible disruptor: You push boundaries while keeping student safety sacred. You know when to move fast and when ethics demand we slow down.
- Force multiplier: You make every team you touch more ambitious. Engineers want to build your vision, designers love your clarity, and curriculum teams trust your judgment on pedagogical integrity.

Envision Your Experience.
In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Lead the full lifecycle of AI-driven features and tools - from discovery and design through development, launch, and rapid iteration based on feedback.
- Translate educator and student needs into solutions that use generative AI for genuine personalization, intelligent guidance, and measurable productivity gains.
- Use qualitative research, analytics, and experimentation to validate real user problems and prioritize opportunities that move the needle on learning outcomes.
- Define and maintain AI product roadmaps that balance ambitious vision with responsible AI principles – knowing when to push the boundaries and when to pump the brakes.
- Write clear, actionable requirements (epics, user stories, acceptance criteria) covering UI/UX behavior, data inputs, LLM prompts, evaluation criteria, and safety considerations.
- Manage the feature request pipeline with ruthless prioritization, assessing feasibility, impact, and ethical implications while keeping stakeholders aligned on the “why”.
- Partner with engineering, ML/AI, and platform teams to develop, integrate, and test AI capabilities - including LLM-based assistants, adaptive learning flows, and content generation tools.
- Work closely with curriculum, services, and customer success teams to validate classroom utility and ensure AI features enhance rather than compromise instructional integrity.
- Support release planning and go-to-market activities that get teachers excited, including internal enablement, documentation people actually read, and feedback loops that drive iteration.
- Stay current on developments in large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, fine-tuning, evaluation frameworks, and educational AI policy – being the team’s radar for what’s next.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of product management practices while keeping process lightweight and impact-focused.
- Other duties as required.
Share Your Expertise.
Experience, education, and qualifications essential for success in this role, include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Product Management, Education, Business, or a related field and at least 3 years of product management experience, including a minimum of 2 years working on SaaS or AI/ML products; or an acceptable combination of education and experience

- A strong understanding of the K-12 marketplace and emerging AI trends is essential.
- K-12 EdTech experience is highly preferred – you understand the unique constraints and opportunities of building for classrooms.
- Proven experience delivering generative AI features such as natural language interfaces, smart recommendations, classroom copilots, or AI content generation tools that users love.
- Strong working knowledge of LLMs, prompt design, RAG pipelines, human-in-the-loop systems, evaluation metrics, and responsible AI practices - you can debate temperature settings and know when to use few-shot vs. fine-tuning.
- Proven success working with cross-functional teams - especially ML engineers, software developers, UX designers, and instructional experts.
- Skilled in product discovery, user research, and hypothesis-driven prioritization.
- Proficiency with Agile tools and processes (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Figma) and experience writing product artifacts that drive clarity and action.
- Excellent written and verbal communication - you can explain complex AI concepts to teachers and educational nuance to engineers.
- Highly proactive, organized, and comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving environments where the roadmap might pivot based on new model capabilities.
- Genuine passion for educational equity and innovation, with a strong belief that AI can transform learning when build thoughtfully.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% to engage with school partners, educators, and internal teams as needed.
