8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday

Rate of Pay:
This is a Full-Time Administrative position at grade 215, with an annual salary range of $73,983 to $90,000. The salary offer will be based on education and experience, in alignment with the College’s compensation philosophy and the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), if applicable.

Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the Senior Director of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), the Analyst of HRIS serves as a technical point person, supporting HR systems in the organization. This role collaborates with HR, IT, and other departments to resolve system issues, manage user requests, and lead system-related projects. The analyst ensures data integrity, system functionality, and process efficiency while providing technical guidance and training to end users.

General supervision is received by the assigned manager.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as an analyst.
• Proficiency in data management, database systems, and scripting languages such as SQL.
• Demonstrated experience with ERP systems, preferably Ellucian Colleague and Self-Service.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools, with the ability to write technical specifications and generate complex reports.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical documentation and system configurations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• High level of discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in HRIS technologies and practices.
• Experience in creating and executing test plans for software upgrades and patches.

• Familiarity with HRIS-related platforms including PageUp eTalent, ImageNow, Entrinsik Informer, and Workforce eTime.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as an analyst supporting HR systems.
• Strong understanding of HR and payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Experience working in unionized environments and knowledge of collective bargaining agreements.

Essential Duties:
Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
Act as the primary technical resource for HRIS-related issues. Provide timely and effective support to end users by diagnosing problems, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions. Maintain a ticketing system to track issues and resolutions, and escalate complex problems to senior leadership or vendors as needed.

Project Management:
Lead cross-functional project teams to implement new HRIS features or enhancements. Develop detailed project documentation including timelines, milestones, risk assessments, and communication plans. Monitor progress and ensure alignment with institutional goals and compliance requirements.

Requirements Analysis & Documentation:
Conduct stakeholder interviews and process reviews to gather business requirements. Translate functional needs into technical specifications for developers and system administrators. Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, workflows, and customizations.

System Configuration & Maintenance:
Manage system settings and configurations to support HR operations, including payroll, benefits, and leave management. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of updates to critical data elements. Collaborate with HR and IT to implement system patches and upgrades with minimal disruption.

Data Integrity, Security & Compliance:
Perform regular audits to ensure data accuracy and consistency across HRIS platforms. Implement and monitor access controls to safeguard sensitive information. Stay informed of regulatory changes and ensure systems remain compliant with federal, state, and institutional policies.

Reporting & Analytics:
Design and generate reports to support HR decision-making, compliance reporting, and operational analysis. Use tools like Entrinsik Informer to create custom queries and dashboards. Provide training and support to users requesting data insights.

Testing & Quality Assurance:
Develop and execute test plans for new system features, upgrades, and patches. Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and document results. Identify and resolve issues before deployment to ensure system reliability and performance.

Training & User Support:
Create and deliver training materials for HRIS users, including manuals, quick guides, and video tutorials. Conduct workshops and one-on-one sessions to improve user proficiency. Provide ongoing support and updates as systems evolve.

Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration:
Liaise with software vendors to resolve issues, request enhancements, and negotiate service agreements. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align system capabilities with strategic goals. Draft and review Statements of Work (SOWs) for external engagements.

Process Improvement & Innovation:
Continuously evaluate HRIS processes for efficiency and effectiveness. Recommend and implement improvements to streamline workflows, reduce manual tasks, and enhance user experience. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
