Illinois State University is hiring an Applications Manager. This role leads the management, integration, and security of business applications within Student Affairs IT, translating departmental needs into effective technology solutions. The Applications Manager oversees projects, mentors staff and students, and collaborates with various stakeholders to enhance the student experience and support the University's objectives.

Lead analysis, procurement, management, and integration of custom and vendor-provided business applications.
Translate business needs into application requirements and ensure alignment with Student Affairs goals.
Supervise applications team and mentor student workers for professional development.
Manage application lifecycle including acquisition, implementation, support, and decommissioning.
Strong knowledge of SQL Server/MySQL, SQL query construction, application architecture, and project management methodologies.
Requirements include six years combining college coursework in IT and professional IT experience, including management of business applications.
Experience with vendor management and leadership of IT projects is required.
Preferred qualifications include ITILv4 Foundation certification and experience with change management and standards development.
Salary range: $95,000 - $100,000 annually with benefits including health, dental, vision, retirement, and tuition waiver options.
Works closely with Student Affairs department, students, IT staff, vendors, and University committees.
