 Position Details 
Advertising/Posting Title  | Assistant Dean for Finance & Administration
Posting Summary  | The Assistant Dean for Finance & Administration is responsible for all complex administrative functions and business operations within the College of Education and Social Services (CESS). The Assistant Dean acts as the chief financial manager and the chief human resource manager for the College, accountable for directing and managing financial, budget planning, administrative, human resources, technology, space planning, and business management activities to support the College’s Strategic Alignment Plan (SAP), UVM’s Green, Gold, and Bold strategic plan, and values of Our Common Ground. The Assistant Dean is accountable for a team of professional staff managing finance, HR, and operational functions including the Title IVE/Child Welfare Training Partnership Director. The Assistant Dean is a member of the CESS Dean’s Leadership team and reports directly to the Dean.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)  | Master’s degree in business, financial management, or related field and at least 8 years of experience in financial management, working with large complex budgets, long-range strategic planning, human resources management, business operations, and grants management. Effective analytical, organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
