Rutgers University is hiring an Assistant Dean III-Nursing Student Success Coach and Retention Specialist. This role involves identifying at-risk undergraduate nursing students and implementing targeted academic coaching and retention strategies, managing the Nursing Tutoring Center, and collaborating with faculty and staff to support student success and program goals.
Highlights
Provide individualized and group academic coaching to strengthen clinical reasoning, judgment, and professional development.
Develop and deliver structured interventions using in-person and technology-enhanced modalities.
Collaborate with administrators, faculty, advisors, data analytics professionals, and student support services to design and implement retention initiatives.
Utilize the Navigate Early Alert System to manage student cases and coordinate outreach.
Manage the Nursing Tutoring Center, including tutor recruitment, training, and scheduling.
Initiate and manage academic remediation courses and support strategies for students needing additional assistance.
Maintain accurate records and support ongoing program assessment and improvement efforts.
Required: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field, active Registered Nurse license in New Jersey, and five years of experience.
Preferred: Master’s degree in Nursing or Nursing Education, Certified Nurse Educator credential, and experience in nursing education, retention, academic coaching, and data analytics.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, student information systems, learning management systems, and student success technologies including Navigate and Canvas.
