The Assistant Director manages multiple grants and evaluation initiatives while collaborating closely with research leadership, project teams, and external partners.

Highlights
  • Lead research and evaluation for North Carolina's replication of the CUNY ASAP model and federally funded grants.
  • Design and implement qualitative and quantitative research methods, including data collection, analysis, and dissemination.
  • Produce reports, executive summaries, scholarly articles, and present findings at regional and national conferences.
  • Manage and support a research team including graduate students and collaborate with associate directors to meet grant timelines.
  • Use qualitative software (e.g., Dedoose, Invivo) and statistical software (e.g., Stata, SPSS, R, SAS) for data analysis.
  • Requires post-baccalaureate credentials or equivalent professional experience; Ph.D. preferred.
  • Experience with qualitative coding, thematic memo-ing, longitudinal data, and quasi-experimental designs required.
  • Knowledge of the community college context and North Carolina Community Colleges preferred.
  • Salary range: $70,000 - $80,000 annually.
  • Department: Belk Center for Community College Leadership and Research within NC State’s College of Education.
