Job Summary  | Provides leadership and oversight of all Counseling Center training programs, including recruitment, training and clinical supervision of trainees. Provides direct patient care and consultation. Works in close collaboration with the Director of the Counseling Center to create and assess and implement best practices in Counseling Center operations and service delivery. Serves as Acting Director in the Director’s absence. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications  | Doctorate in clinical psychology or counseling psychology. Four (4) years of clinical experience in mental health care. Experience in providing clinical supervision. Current psychologist license, with eligibility to practice in Ohio within 12 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications  | Doctorate from an APA accredited program or APA-accredited internship. Progressive clinical and administrative leadership experience in a higher education counseling center, such as training, clinical, outreach, or program coordination roles. Strong clinical skills, including assessment, case formulation, and treatment across a range of client presentations and levels of impairment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)  | Effective written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and decision-making abilities. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams across CSU. Strong case formulation, assessment, and treatment skills in working clinically with clients, issues, and levels of impairment. Ability to utilize an electronic medical records systems and documentation practices to support training and clinical services. Ability to adapt training approaches to meet the needs of a dynamic higher education environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
