Job Description  | The Assistant Director of Enrollment will support the Director of Enrollment Management in overseeing the admissions process at the School of Medicine. This role involves strategic planning, data analysis, recruitment initiatives, and maintaining communication with prospective students. The Assistant Director will work closely with the admissions team, ensuring the smooth operation of the department, and will represent the university in a variety of settings, promoting the institution and attracting qualified candidates.

Duties/Position Accountabilities
Assist in managing the full admissions cycle and interview process, application review and eligibility. Interview scheduling and final decision processing. Support the Director in maintaining data systems for tracking student admissions, generating reports, and identifying trends. Coordinate recruitment activities, such as open houses, campus tours, and virtual information sessions. Represent the School of Medicine at recruitment fairs, conferences, and other external events to attract a diverse and talented applicant pool. Develop and manage communication plans for prospective students, including email campaigns, newsletters, and social media outreach. Establish relationships with pre-medical advisors and feeder schools to enhance the institution’s visibility and reputation. Provide training for new admissions committee members, facilitate and schedule all admissions related meetings (student & faculty sessions, Executive and Admissions Committee). Assists with scheduling interviews for all programs offered at JCESOM (except Md-PhD). Attends and coordinates all Admissions Committee meetings. Ensure compliance with admissions policies and regulations. Analyze enrollment data and trends, providing insights and recommendations to the Director for enhancing the admissions process. Monitor application metrics and work on yield strategies to improve the matriculation of accepted students. Serve as a point of contact for prospective students, providing guidance on the application process and offering personalized support to ensure a positive experience. Help coordinate student ambassador programs, ensuring prospective students have opportunities to engage with current students. Ensure compliance with university policies and accreditation standards in all admissions activities. Assist in preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders, including leadership and accreditation bodies.

PERFORMANCE COMPETENCIES:

The ramifications of not selecting a viable class may include poor student performance, national board examination failures and even potential adverse action by the licensing and accreditation board for the medical school. Lack of respect for confidentiality of records could also lead to severe repercussions, including sanctions for the school.
