Job Summary  | The Assistant Director of Admissions will actively participate in ensuring the university reaches its enrollment goals. Provide leadership and guidance to the professional staff implementing targeted outreach and recruitment initiative for many types of future students. They will oversee & manage day-to-day operations; drive desired outcomes; ensure appropriate follow-up; maintain records &reporting related to recruitment, admissions, financial aid, scholarships, etc. Provide guidance and support for prospective students and families seeking to become part of the UTA community. Perform work in ways that contribute to the university’s successful achievement of enrollment goals. Maintain current Bound for Success district partnerships along with fostering partnerships with new school districts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities  | Provide leadership and manage professional staff members for the Bound for Success recruitment team. Develop and implement targeted outreach and recruitment initiatives leveraging the university’s footprint and resources to build an incoming class of students. Plan, coordinate, and attend required programmatic events for students and parents at high school and college/university sites. Actively participate and engage in outreach, recruitment, and community engagement programming that drive desired and measurable outcomes. Be a community face for and represent all college/university partners. Work closely with the admissions leadership in the identification, development, and implementation of strategic outreach and recruitment initiatives designed to reach desired outcomes. Develop, maintain, and provide updates & reports in a timely manner. Work with CRM to develop reports that will better help Admission Counselors recruit students. Build relationships with internal and external partners including high school and district staff. Maintain and foster current and new Bound for Success school district partnerships. Support students and parents with college search process. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications  | Bachelor’s Degree. Three (3) years of recruitment experience working with students in an academic setting with a broad knowledge of admissions, recruitment, communications and university policies and/or processes or a equivalent mix of education and relevant experience in similar roll. One (1) year of management experience or the equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications  | Master’s Degree Five (5) years of recruitment experience; experience with the recruitment of students from various backgrounds, including high-performing students. Experience working with CRM systems such as Slate or Salesforce. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities  | Self-starter & Team Player. Performance and results driven. Excellent communication skills including the ability to speak in front of large groups. Data-driven, results-oriented. Assess, Engage, & empower staff and students to maximum performance and self-efficacy. Computer literate. Adaptable.
Other Requirements  | Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License.
