University of Florida is hiring an Assistant Director of Admissions (Applicant Services). This leadership role involves managing the Office of Admissions' Applicant Services team, overseeing application processing for various academic programs, and ensuring smooth admissions operations while fostering campus partnerships to support prospective student success.
Highlights
Oversee application processing for undergraduate, graduate, professional, post-baccalaureate, certificate, and special academic programs.
Manage application workflows, deadlines, document processing, and departmental referrals.
Troubleshoot and resolve data and system issues within Slate and Campus Solutions.
Ensure compliance with university policies, FERPA, and state regulations regarding admissions and residency classifications.
Supervise a large team of full-time staff and student assistants including hiring, scheduling, performance evaluations, and training.
Serve as a resource for applicants, families, faculty, staff, and campus partners, resolving escalated issues.
Participate in holistic review of freshman applications and support recruitment events, including driving a state vehicle.
Contribute to strategic planning, operational improvements, and special projects within the admissions department.
Required qualifications include a Master's degree with two years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree with four years of relevant experience.
Preferred experience includes supervisory roles, knowledge of university and state policies, strong communication skills, customer service experience, and proficiency with Slate and/or PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
Offered salary is $65,000 annually with comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, tuition assistance, and eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
