Assistant Director of Learning Systems & Integration. Reporting to the
Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and collaborating closely with the
Director of Data Services, this role supports the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the systems powering the College’s
Lifelong Learning,
non-credit offerings, and
Student Information System (SIS) infrastructure.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for educational technology, systems integration, and data architecture to shape the infrastructure that supports student initiatives, adult learners, continuing education, and emerging instructional models.
Essential Duties Summary |
Essential Functions Serve as the lead administrator for learning and registration platforms (e.g., Thinkific) used in Lifelong Learning programs Manage system integrations between learning platforms, Student Information Systems (SIS), and other institutional data sources Maintain, update, and optimize platform content, templates, and workflows in collaboration with stakeholders Support staff and instructors with onboarding, troubleshooting, and ongoing platform use Design and implement robust ETL pipelines using SSIS or similar tools to transform data across platforms securely and efficiently Ensure data quality by supporting data collection, cleaning, and preparation for analysis Collaborate with the Director of Data Services to align system data flows with institutional enterprise architecture and reporting needs Develop dashboards and reports using InfoMaker, Power BI, or similar tools to support program insights and financial reconciliation Coordinate with Finance, Academic Departments, and Program Offices to ensure technology systems align with operational goals and compliance standards
Additional ResponsibilitiesTranslate business and academic requirements into scalable technical solutions Monitor project milestones, manage issue resolution, and provide regular updates to leadership Create onboarding materials, user guides, and conduct system training sessions Evaluate and recommend enhancements to learning systems and integrations in support of evolving educational models Participate in special projects such as vendor evaluations, grant proposals, and technology pilots
Required Qualifications |
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required Experience with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Thinkific, Kajabi, Teachable) Strong background in ETL tools like SSIS and data integration workflows Experience with Student Information Systems (SIS) and financial system integration Familiarity with reporting tools such as InfoMaker, Power BI, or Tableau Experience with cloud-based workflow automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Power Automate, Make/Integromat) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools such as Excel and Power Query
Physical and Cognitive RequirementsPrimarily sedentary, involving extended periods of sitting and significant computer use Frequent verbal and written communication required Capacity to organize and synthesize detailed information Occasional walking/standing required
Preferred Qualifications |
Preferred Qualifications Exposure to programming languages such as SQL or Python Experience working with cloud platforms and APIs Knowledge of change management processes and best practices Previous experience working in higher education or a similar academic environment
