Assistant Director of Student Recruitment Full Description

Job Description

The Assistant Director of Student Recruitment is a full-time administrative faculty position designed to recruit and enroll associate, undergraduate, and graduate students. The Assistant Director of Student Recruitment will work as a key member of Academic Programs in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, a diverse organization that includes over 3,600 students in over 20 majors and associate and graduate degrees. Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Management, the Assistant Director of Student Recruitment will apply a strategic vision to lead recruiting and promotion initiatives to facilitate enrollment growth for incoming associate, undergraduate, and graduate students across the College.

Required Qualifications

-Bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience
-Experience in recruitment or admissions
-Demonstrated ability to coordinate and support events or student-facing programming
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on relationship-building with students and families
-Knowledge of social media advertising strategies and management
-Ability to supervise student interns
-Experience in complex project management
-Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
-Ability to work independently without excessive supervision or follow-up
-Flexibility to work evenings and weekends and the ability to travel occasionally

Preferred Qualifications

-Master’s degree in an applicable field
-Experience with digital advertising and analytics
-Experience with marketing and outreach via social media
-Experience using a CRM (customer relationship management) system
-Intermediate data analysis and Excel skills to support strategy development
-Demonstrated skills in event planning and coordination
