Assistant Director, Professional Development & Career Education Full Description

Position Summary: 
NYU's Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Director, Professional Development & Career Education in the Undergraduate College. The Assistant Director will partner with leadership and communications team colleagues to create strategy for promoting and marketing career programming surveys to students. Provide career coaching and other guidance as needed to help students identify and pursue their target careers. Develop and manage career education and professional development programming for NYU Stern undergraduate students in collaboration with corporate partners, alumni, and key internal stakeholders, including career-focused student organizations. Develop and plan seminars, workshops, networking events and associated services for students. Design and implement methods to track and monitor full-time employment and internship placements. 

Qualifications: 
The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree (a Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, or communications or a Master's Degree is preferred) and 3+ years relevant experience in career services, career counseling, student personnel, marketing, recruitment, admissions or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience planning and promoting digital and in-person events and programs. Strong verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills and organizational skills, as well as the ability to deal with a diverse population at all levels, are required. Experience working in higher education in a student-facing role is preferred. Digital/print marketing skills, knowledge of business career paths, public speaking skills, and strong project management skills are also preferred.
 
Domestic and international travel is required. The selected candidate must be willing and able to attend and chaperone domestic and international student trips. 

Additional Information: 
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $81,999.50. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
