Strategic Leadership with Purpose:

  • Advise the Vice President of Strategy & Operations on labor market trends and employability outcomes 
  • Lead Workforce Development operations, staff, and programs with a focus on innovation and responsiveness 
  • Oversee budgeting, enrollment growth, and market expansion 
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local workforce regulations 

Building Employer Partnerships: 
  • Cultivate strategic relationships with employers, industry groups, government agencies, and economic development organizations 
  • Align academic and technical programs with industry needs to ensure graduate readiness 
  • Represent CWI on workforce boards and regional/state initiatives 
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to coordinate employer engagement 

Driving Innovation in Workforce Programs: 
  • Lead the design and expansion of non-credit training, apprenticeships, and custom employer solutions 
  • Pursue funding opportunities through grants and partnerships 
  • Foster a culture of agility and innovation in response to evolving workforce demands 
  • Oversee Directors of Workforce Development Programs across multiple sectors 

What We’re Looking For: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Public Administration, Workforce Development, or related field 
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in workforce development or higher education 
  • Proven success in building and sustaining industry partnerships 
  • Deep understanding of CWI’s mission and commitment to accessibility and employability 
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and change management skills 
  • Ability to foster a student-centered, equity-focused environment 
 
Additional Instructions For Applicants: 
Most positions at CWI are in-person and based on campus. While some roles may allow up to two remote workdays per week, eligibility for remote work is determined on a case-by-case basis at the hiring manager's discretion. All candidates must reside within, or be willing to relocate to, a reasonable commuting distance from CWI. Employment visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
