The opportunity

The Associate Director of Learning Experiences and Capability Development (Adjunct Learning) leads the execution of adjunct faculty learning and capability development in support of SNHU's Mission and our learning culture. Through leadership of cross-functional teams, you will manage and execute the portfolio of learning experiences. Through partnership with Talent Capability & Learning, People Team, and Provost leaders, you will collaboratively and measurably drive greater adjunct and student success. This includes, but is not limited to, adjunct onboarding, self-directed learning resources, innovation testing/pilots learning, and targeted webinars that support the collective and individual growth of our adjunct faculty. You will report to the Associate Vice President of Learning Experiences and Capability Development and partner closely with other key stakeholders across SNHU. #LI-Remote

What you'll do:

  • Drive our Talent Capability & Learning vision and mission through the execution of our learning experiences and services.
  • Manage the direction, alignment, and commitment of the learning experiences teams to support and execute on the strategy and vision of the portfolio.
  • Articulate the target audience to ensure alignment of learning experiences and services to audience needs.
  • Lead cross-functional teams assembled to support the execution of all assigned deliverables, including the design, execution, and continuous improvement of faculty onboarding, training, and development, incorporating updated curriculum, learning technologies, and evidence-informed practices to deliver assigned outcomes.
  • Partner closely with the AVP of Learning Experiences and Capability Development to provide proactive and collaborative learning supports for Adjuncts in collaboration with Provost designees.
  • Establish alignment and integration with other learning experiences at SNHU to strengthen connections across the learning experience landscape.
  • Execute Talent Capability & Learning internal processes that support coordination and collaboration across other functional core teams.
  • Manage assigned budget for adjunct learning.
  • Partner with TCL Learning Analytics to establish metrics, evaluate impact, and inform continuous improvement.
  • Ensure standards, compliance requirements (IACET), and remediation planning as needed.
  • Represent the team in internal partnerships as appropriate.
  • Ensure consistent application of learning theory/design principles across development work.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in human (enduring) skill development, ensuring the quality and effectiveness of learning experiences.
  • Lead and execute university strategies and cross-functional initiatives aligned to organizational priorities and business outcomes.
  • Use approved Artificial Intelligence tools and emerging technologies responsibly in alignment with SNHU guidance as part of regular role responsibilities.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Learning & Development, Organizational development/leadership, Adult Education, Psychology, Business Administration or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a learning and development leadership capacity or related experience. Including performance consulting such as guiding the development of new ideas, partnering with business leaders to assess needs, identifying skill gaps, and creating solutions
  • Experience applying learning and development best practices to support the development and delivery of effective learning and learner outcomes
  • Deep expertise in learning experience design and development life-cycle, learning science, and instructional technologies, applying these approaches to drive effective learning strategy through high-quality, scalable learning experiences
  • Experience building relationships and influence to enable cross-functional and matrixed teams
  • Experience leading and prioritizing multiple complex initiatives, applying project management and performance consulting practices to manage execution and contribution
  • Experience leveraging data to analyze trends, generate insights, and support informed decision-making and continuous improvement
  • Familiarity in leveraging technology and LMS platforms to deliver scalable learning experiences across online and in-person environments
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the learning and talent industry, with experience delivering learning experiences that strengthen organizational and individual capability and performance
  • Experience tailoring communication to effectively engage diverse audiences and stakeholders
  • Experience navigating changing priorities and business needs in a growing organization

Compensation

The annual pay range for this position is $70,729.00 - $113,188.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $78,155.00 - $105,739.00.
