JOB DESCRIPTION: 
This is a temporary position serving through September, with the potential to extend into the fall semester. The Associate, Academic Programs, supports the daily operations of Academic Success programs, including Tutoring and Learning Assistant/Supplemental Instruction (LA/SI). This role focuses on supporting training and program logistics, coordinating student staff (Peer Tutors, Learning Assistants, and Captains), and assisting with data tracking and communication efforts. This is a hands-on, student-facing role.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the development and updating of training materials
  • Coordinate and support student leaders (Captains) in fall semester preparation
  • Coordinate outreach, communication, and program events
  • Support day-to-day operations of tutoring and LA/SI programs, including schedules and attendance tracking and fall semester preparation
  • Track and maintain program data and records

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • A bachelor's degree and three years of experience working with academic programs or a related field, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supervising or supporting undergraduate student staff
  • Familiarity with training or student development
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with basic data tracking tools (e.g., spreadsheets)
  • Experience with academic support programs such as tutoring, Supplemental Instruction, or peer education
 
NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location.  Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
