Associate Applications Business Analyst Full Description

Assists the Financial Systems and Support Services section in providing customer service delivery consistent with the goals and objectives of the university and the Office of the Controller. Provides production support of Financial Systems modules.

Job Summary
  • Assists the Financial Systems and Support Services department in providing customer service delivery consistent with the goals and objectives of the university.
  • Provides production support of financial systems modules for Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
  • Assists in training the university community on use of financial systems modules.
  • Prepares reports and supports university community in use of reports.
  • Assists in ensuring timeliness of transaction processing through the financial systems, integrity of the data, supporting closing of the accounting period and report generation.
  • Assists in the implementation of new technologies and enhancements of existing systems.
  • Maintains and updates PeopleSoft user roles as requested on the Access Request form. Supports PeopleSoft modules as directed by leadership or the Business Analysts.
  • Updates upper management on the status of financial systems logs and Panther Tracks submitted on behalf of the Controller's direct reports, Business Analysts or SMEs.
  • Provides weekly updates to upper management and recommends changes to enhance financial systems.
  • Assists in the documentation of business processes.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and some experience in a related field; OR four (4) years of experience in related field; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft ERP system, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe and other web related software.
  • Ability to work in a team setting.
