Job Description 
Reporting directly to the Dean of Early College and High School Partnerships, the Associate Dean will be responsible for the onboarding, oversight, support, professional development and evaluation of the dual enrollment faculty and the adjunct faculty housed in the School of Professional Programs. The incumbent will thereby serve as an operational liaison for the Office of Early College within the Laurel Ridge Service Region, building and maintaining strong relationships with high school teachers, counselors, and principals. The Associate Dean of Dual Enrollment and Professional Programs will be a core member of the Academic Affairs leadership team and serve a critical bridge between the Office of Early College and the academic schools, ensuring that dual enrollment courses are high quality and that dual enrollment students master course learning outcomes at levels consistent with their on-campus peers. The Associate Dean will also play a pivotal role in expanding pathways for high school students and graduates in Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. The Associate Dean will serve as a 12-month administrative faculty member within a department that serves students in many of the college’s regions. As such, the position is seated at the Middletown campus, and allows flexibility in working from other college sites and campuses.

Compensation and BenefitsThe hiring range for this position is $78,300.00 – $100,000.00 per year, however, actual starting salary will commensurate with education and/or experience. The position is an administrative role and as such is eligible for the benefits package offered by the Commonwealth of Virginia for state agencies and the Virginia Community College System. KSA's/Required Qualifications  | A master’s degree in education, administration, Career and Technical education, or a related field. Experience leading academic and/or student success initiatives in a K-12 or college environment. Significant experience in budget development and/or grant management. Supervision experience with demonstrated ability to delegate responsibilities as needed; respond to deadlines; problem solve; and effectively supervise staff. Proficient in leveraging data and technology to streamline operations, increase efficiency, and/or improve student success. Ability to cover assignments throughout the college service region as necessary for the job is required.

Additional Considerations  | Demonstrated knowledge of career and technical education (CTE) instructional programs preferred. Significant experience in building positive relationships with college stakeholders, students and families; business, industry, and community leaders; and PK-12 school division teachers and administrators preferred. Community college administrative and teaching experience preferred.
