Associate Dean, Student Conduct & Community Standards Full Description

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Student Life, Title IX, Title VI Coordinator and ADA Compliance, the Associate Dean of Student Conduct and Community Standards at the University of the Pacific serves as the Senior Conduct Officer and a member of the AVP's leadership team. The Associate Dean is responsible for the administration of the student code of conduct, prevention, ongoing education and programming in compliance with institutional, state, and federal requirements.

A central component of this role is cultivating strong, effective campus collaboration and partnerships across the university, including building relationships with Fraternity and Sorority Life, academic units, academic deans, and key student life partners, to advance student success and reinforce a culture of integrity.

Essential Functions

Leads and directs the collaborative development of unit policies, procedures, and programs relative to the Student Code of Conduct
Oversees the student conduct review (adjudication) process, including administrative and board review hearings
Identifies and administers in-person and online educational programming for the prevention of high-risk behaviors in compliance with Title IX, the Drug Free Schools and Communities Act, and the Clery Act
Conducts formative and summative evaluation of student and unit data and submits biweekly reports to the AVP
Utilizes student information systems including Maxient, Banner, and Salesforce to manage cases and evaluate programming
Serves as a Deputy Title IX Coordinator and on the CARE Team and Behavioral Intervention Team
Manages the Student Academic Grade Grievance process in consultation with faculty and academic partners
Responsible for unit's budget management and staff supervision

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree or equivalent professional experience in higher education administration, counseling, student affairs, or related field
Five years' experience in student conduct, residential life, prevention programming, or related areas of student affairs
Knowledge of relevant laws and policies including FERPA, Title IX, Clery Act, VAWA, ADA/504
