Associate Director, Academic Services Full Description

Position Summary: 
Work with the Assistant Dean, Academic Services and Registration ('Assistant Dean') in managing the operations of the School of Law Office of Academic Services. Develop and implement office policies and procedures. Advise JD students on academic policies and procedures related to course selection, withdrawal policy, credit/fail options, course registration, examinations, and graduation requirements. Interpret and administer University and School policies and procedures and recommend or approve exceptions to policies. Ensure course information and course requirement contents of the Course Management System complies with University and department policies. Prepare and develop timetables and communications impacting accommodated, international students with visas and transfer law students; counsel and advise transfer students as needed. Manage the exam process. Qualifications: 
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:
5+ years experience with Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, or other information technology related field welcomed. Background in social work or higher education.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills. Strong client relations, problem-solving and analytical skills. Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, database, web-based applications, and Internet protocols.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Familiarity with online student information systems programs, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) policies and compliance. Additional Information: 
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $77,000.00 to USD $88,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
