Job Summary:
The Associate Director Athletics Creative Content is responsible for producing and posting video content for TCU Athletics with a heavy emphasis on social media video content for assigned sports programs. Projects will range from in-house produced video board content to post-game social media content at TCU Athletics events, both home and away. In addition, video content may include long form features, highlight videos, hype videos, motion graphics, and personality videos. This includes but is not limited to filming, editing, and producing videos, graphics and photos to be used across multiple platforms to enhance the TCU Athletics brand through social media strategy and recruiting initiatives. This position works with the Director for Communications and Creative Content with development of the social media plan for assigned sports. This position also manages the student intern program, developing students’ videography and editing skills.
Duties & Essential Job Functions:
1. Conceptualizes and produces all creative video needs for assigned sports program including set-up, shooting, editing raw footage, designing and producing innovative motion graphics for video usage across multiple platforms (in-game, website, social media, etc.).
2. Assists with and develops, creates, and executes weekly plans for team highlights, videos containing the unique aspects of the assigned sports program and the university through original video content.
3. Works closely with Marketing, Communications and Coaching Staffs.
4. Helps develop, implement, and manage the assigned program's digital brand, ensuring all digital elements have a consistent look and feel, from visual imagery to content tone and cadence.
5. Creates outlines and stories based on trending topics and turn into a creative video piece that can be used for promotion, public relations and recruiting.
6. Works with the Director of Creative Content to make sure all videos adhere to brand standards within the creative department.
7. Works with the Director of Licensing to make sure all video and photography are made within university compliance standards.
8. Hires, schedules, and supervises student interns, accompanying them to practice or games, providing instructional techniques on shooting and editing for video boards and social media.
9. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Media or related field and three plus years of experience that directly relates to this position
OR
• High School Diploma and nine years’ experience that directly relates to this position.

Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
• Valid Texas Driver’s License.
• Must be insurable under the University motor vehicle requirements.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Skill in Adobe Creative Suite products, particularly Premiere, Photoshop, and After Effects.
• Knowledge and experience using all social media channels.
• Knowledge of camera operation and lighting schematics to shoot and edit both field and studio assignments at a high level.
• Knowledge of graphics creation software (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects).
• Skill in Electronic News Gathering (ENG) (field video camera, lighting, and related audio).
• Skill in producing and directing live sporting event productions (broadcast and video boards).
• Skill in both spoken and written communication.
• Ability to produce video content.
• Ability to learn new technologies and stay abreast of best practices
• Ability to create and implement graphics for sports broadcasts.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work non-traditional hours.
• Ability to supervise student intern program.

• This role is an on campus, in-person position, but includes some travel.

• The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate to extreme.
