EAB is looking for a talented, driven, and entrepreneurial marketer to join the team and lead Product Marketing for EAB’s higher education CRM, Navigate360, with a focus on its new Recruitment, Advancement, and Career Success capabilities.

The Product Marketing team develops content and strategies to increase brand awareness, improve competitive positioning, generate demand, support sales, and drive utilization for EAB technology and services. This includes developing thought leadership content such as blog posts, insight papers, and infographics; content for webinars and conference presentations; and sales enablement collateral such as pitch decks, product one-pagers, case studies, and more.

In addition to a passion for persuasive writing, a love for big ideas, and a graphical eye, in order to be successful in the role, one must have excellent collaboration and project management skills.

This position is open to hires in Washington, D.C.; Richmond, VA; or is open to remote employment within the continental U.S.  
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Shaping Marketing Strategy 
    • Inflects sales and renewals by developing compelling marketing plans grounded in an understanding of B2B buyer behavior
    • Develops high-quality, differentiating content that helps EAB sustain and improve its position in a competitive higher education technology market
    • Selects optimal channels, formats, and messages to generate awareness and leads, acquire visits, and convert pipeline
    • Prioritizes project queue to maximize impact on sales funnel and new business
  • Creating Content 
    • Writes, produces, and edits effective persona-driven content to support the entire funnel, which could include blog posts, case studies, conference presentations, insight papers, webinars, infographics, video testimonials, executive briefings, reference webinars, visit decks, scripts, competitive positioning pieces, brochures, executive summaries, website content, nurturing assets, urgency documents, and other collateral
    • Develops and maintains a content calendar based on external research and interviews with internal stakeholders
    • Translates technical product features into compelling value propositions tailored to leadership and technical audiences; adapts style, tone, and word choice to various media
    • Proactively applies SEO and content performance best practices to ensure visibility and relevance in competitive digital environments
    • Achieves high standards of quality, productivity, and timeliness
  • Driving Innovation 
    • Proposes and tests new channels, deliverables, formats, and ideas
    • Actively contributes to the evolution of the firm’s Product Marketing function, sharing insights and best practices to enhance overall performance and campaign ROI
  • Collaborating across teams 
    • Aligns with sales team leaders to ensure cohesive GTM execution, prioritize initiatives, and develop and finalize deliverables
    • Collaborates with other groups within marketing and across the firm, such as creative services, partner success, product management, research, and events 
 
Basic Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5-6+ years professional experience in B2B product marketing, content strategy, research, or digital marketing
  • Able to clearly and precisely express complex ideas in written and graphical form; skilled at adapting language, format, and style for various media and audiences
  • Able to take ownership and drive projects from beginning to end, working with multiple groups effectively and on multiple projects concurrently
  • Intellectually curious, quick study, creative, attentive to detail, self-motivated
  • Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word 
  • Willingness to travel to a Richmond and/or D.C. office twice annually to meet with team members

Ideal Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in marketing or business
  • Experience bringing new product features to market in highly competitive environments
  • Knowledge of or experience working in the U.S. higher education industry

Compensation:
The anticipated starting salary (base) range for this role is $65,000 - $100,000 per year. Actual salary varies due to factors that may include but not be limited to relevant experience, skills, and location. At EAB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the starting salary range for their role.

This hire will additionally be eligible for discretionary bonus or incentive compensation. Variable compensation may depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
