About the Role
Columbia Business School is hiring an Associate Director, Career Education and Advising to design and deliver career education programs, liaise with academic Centers and Programs, and provide one-on-one and small-group career advising and executive coaching. This role supports the career and professional development of Columbia Business School's graduate business students and alumni.
What You'll Do
  • Plan, develop, and deliver career education and professional development programs, including presentations, speaker series, panels, company visits, and networking events across webinars, workshops, and short-form video
  • Lead the planning and execution of large-scale industry and networking events in collaboration with School and employer partners
  • Provide one-on-one and small-group executive coaching and career advising on internship and full-time searches, self-assessment, networking, interviewing, and industry-specific job strategies
  • Track job-seeking outcomes and analyze employment change trends, presenting findings to business school stakeholders
  • Manage projects such as resume book production, on-campus recruiting qualification processes, and updates to online student resources
  • Cultivate relationships with alumni, current students, and recruiters to source panelists for industry sessions and company visits
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree required, with a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience
  • MBA or master's degree in counseling or higher education fields preferred
  • Strong program and project management skills with demonstrated experience in relationship development
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and/or Google Workspace
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation abilities
