Working on The Polytechnic School campus, which houses both the Polytechnic School and School of Manufacturing Systems and Networks, the Associate Director for eProjects will administer one of the premier Fulton Schools of Engineering's experiential learning opportunities, the eProjects capstone program. In this role, the position will collaborate regularly with the FSE School Directors on the Polytechnic campus, undergraduate program chairs, and capstone faculty to support the capstone and eProject's portfolio. In administering the program, the Associate Director - eProjects managing day-to-day activities of the program, supporting industry partnerships, implementation of the eProjects business plan and budget, and cultivates and secures industry-sponsored and funded capstone/eProjects in close cooperation with the capstone course faculty, ensuring student outcomes are met.
Over a two-semester capstone course sequence, the eProjects program aligns students and industry in experiential learning opportunities, creating novel solutions for real-world scenarios in a cooperative technical relationship. Industry-defined problems become opportunities for teams of students to apply their technical and professional skills alongside faculty mentors and industry advisors. The capstone course sequence is offered in both Fall/Spring and Spring/Fall, with two distinct student cohorts and project timelines.
This role will also support the coordination of industry recruitment, manages the relationship development and partner management around projects through the agreement negotiation and project completion process.
In addition, the Associate Director - eProjects also coordinates the execution of the eProjects Forum and Innovation Showcase on the Polytechnic campus each semester (twice a year for each), the former marking the start, the latter celebrating the end, of these two-semester-long project experiences.
Essential Duties:
E-Project Program Management
This position will serve as the lead project manager by assessing current and potential capstone and eProjects to:
• Support the number of students enrolled in FSE capstone and/or project courses.
• Monitor capstone and eProjects in-process including periodic surveying of industry sponsors.
• Prepare and coordinate the capstone and eProject Service Agreements.
• Maintain eProject program data system for management, marketing, and outcomes assessment, including accreditation purposes.
• Work with the Manager of Infrastructure and Lab Operations to ensure safety requirements are identified and communicated to industry partners during project scoping.
• Assist faculty and staff with overseeing the evaluation and promotion of the eProject program.
• Plan, facilitate, and execute the eProject Forum and Innovation Showcase each semester.
Industry Development
The Associate Director will assist in developing and cultivating comprehensive industry support through the Business Engagement area. This will include growing and maintaining relationships, collecting follow-up, and providing feedback as the primary capstone and eProject contact for FSE Faculty, Faculty Associates, staff, students, and industry partners.

• 5-7 yrs. industry experience with engineering design, products, and services.
• Ability to successfully cultivate customers and close deals involving mechanical, electrical, automotive, clean energy, general engineering, robotics and manufacturing engineering technologies.
Working Environment:
• Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, walking.
• Corporate site visits, as necessary.
• Use office equipment including a desktop computer.
• Lift up to 20 pounds.
• Communicate to perform essential duties.
• Provide tours of campus resources for prospective partners, to include use of electric carts.
