The opportunity
The Associate Director, Data Analytics partners with the Global Campus Marketing and Admissions groups to develop and provide analytical solutions and reporting to support and inform data-driven decisions and strategic plans, and optimized execution planning. You will report to the Assistant Vice President of Analytics and oversee a team of Data Analysts responsible for all important performance metrics and analytical support needs of their Marketing and Admissions partners.

What you'll do:
  • Develop SQL for the purpose of reporting, including: ETLs from source locations, stored procedures into reports used by the business, business intelligence objects, ad-hoc analyses, and data sets for advance analytics such as predictive models and machine learning algorithms.
  • Serve as subject matter expert of data sources and architecture, and business rules and logic.
  • Collaborate with business to understand and define business rules and key performance indicators, and develop solutions to fit their needs. Develop reporting solutions in Excel, Power BI, and other reporting tools.
  • Collaborate with other Analysts and Data Warehouse team to ensure congruency of reporting, minimize duplication of effort, and identify/rectify limitations in data sources and data delivery options.
  • Enable understanding of RACI (responsible, accountable, consulted and informed) of organization (leadership and governance structure) and use to foster communication.
  • Enable communication/collaboration within team as well as other Data & Analytics teams to leverage all appropriate resources and foster depth/breadth of business knowledge.
  • Manage work of Data Analysts; empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals, delegating responsibility and expecting accountability and regular feedback. Foster spirit of teamwork and unity, appreciation of diversity and effective working relationships to ensure employee and team success.

What We're Looking For:
  • 6+ years of experience working with data directly in the Microsoft SQL Stack.
  • 2+ years managing people, teams or processes. (Including mentorship, business partnerships and have led strategy).
  • Bachelors Degree Required.
  • Experience using and implementing cloud-based reporting tools.
  • Experience of database structures and database querying tools.
  • Expert proficiency in Excel (can perform complex functions) , and experience of other Microsoft Office applications. (e.g. PowerBI)
  • Experience designing rich data visualizations to communicate complex ideas to partners and leadership.
  • Previous experience in Higher Education

CompensationThe annual pay range for this position is $103,577.00 - $165,754.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $114,453.00 - $154,848.00.
