We are seeking an Associate Director of Case Management who will provide proactive, non-clinical support to nursing students experiencing physical or mental health challenges, financial hardship, social adjustment concerns, or other personal difficulties that may affect their wellbeing and academic progress. Serving as a central point of contact and coordinator of care, the Associate Director identifies student needs, connects students with appropriate campus and community resources, and collaborates with faculty, staff, and administrators to support student retention, success, and overall wellbeing.
This is not a clinical position. The Associate Director does not provide therapy, counseling, or medical treatment, but instead serves as a case manager who assesses needs, coordinates referrals, and helps students navigate institutional and community systems of support.
This position also manages crisis/emergency support pertaining to nursing graduate students who are on site or remote (such as incidents of suicide attempts, death and accidents, significant lab or classroom disruptions, significant behavioral issues, criminal activity, sexual assault, and medical emergencies) by facilitating care/interim measures through appropriate campus partners (Student Well-being, Health and Wellness Center, Campus Security, Title IX Coordinator, Disability Services, Office of Institutional Equity, University Administration, Student Conduct, SEAM, Academic Advising, and the Office of International Services, etc.). While strong, supportive relationships may develop with students, the Associate Director does not engage in individual therapeutic relationships.
