University of Florida is hiring an Associate Director, Research Administration. This role leads the development and execution of applied research programs aligned with national security priorities, supports proposal development and sponsor engagement, and coordinates interdisciplinary teams and strategic planning for the ARNS Lab.
Highlights
Lead applied research program development in AI, microelectronics, space systems, advanced materials, and biosecurity.
Translate government sponsor priorities into actionable research plans and manage interdisciplinary faculty collaboration.
Support and lead complex federal research proposal development including DoD and Intelligence Community projects.
Engage with government sponsors, defense industry partners, and small businesses to build collaborations and research consortia.
Coordinate with internal university units for compliance, security, and research execution.
Participate in planning physical lab space and strategic research initiatives.
Master's degree plus four years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree plus six years.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance required.
Experience with federally funded national security research, proposal development, and government contracting preferred.
Compensation commensurate with education and experience.
