Duties and Responsibilities  | Job SummaryThe Associate Director of School Engagement & Giving manages the development and implementation of a comprehensive, school-based alumni engagement and philanthropic giving strategy for designated academic units. This role serves as a strategic partner for college and school leadership, advancing initiatives that deepen alumni affinity, strengthen alumni and volunteer engagement, and increase philanthropic participation.


Duties and Responsibilities

 Support the implementation of the university’s school-based alumni engagement and philanthropic giving strategy, helping foster meaningful connections and increase philanthropic participation among a large and diverse alumni population across designated colleges/schools. Collaborate with the Schools/Colleges Development team to create integrated engagement and giving strategies that identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward alumni and donor prospects. Lead planning and execution of school-based engagement events, volunteer opportunities, and donor cultivation and stewardship activities designed to deepen alumni affinity and advance philanthropic outcomes across the donor engagement pipeline. Partner with colleagues across University Advancement, including Relationship Managers, Annual Giving, Digital Engagement, Donor Relations, and Special Events, to ensure coordinated outreach, consistent messaging, and a seamless constituent experience. Work with advisory boards, alumni councils, volunteer networks, and other constituent groups to grow meaningful engagement, leadership development, and philanthropic involvement. Analyze engagement, participation, and giving data to assess event effectiveness, identify trends and opportunities, and recommend strategies for continuous improvement and growth. Manage multiple complex projects and priorities, overseeing timelines, communications strategies, budgets, and operational planning to ensure the successful execution of engagement and giving initiatives. Monitor and report on key performance indicators, providing strategic insights and recommendations to advancement and academic leadership regarding engagement and philanthropic outcomes.
