The Associate Identity Analyst is an entry-level professional contributor working under immediate supervision who serves a crucial function within the Identity and Access Management Office, providing tier 2 support and focusing on incident resolution and fulfilling service requests for over 50,000 students and approximately 20,000 faculty and staff across three campuses. This position uses an IT Service Management (ITSM) tool to prioritize, complete, and reassign work requests while using various communication methods to ensure a high level of customer service. The Analyst’s responsibilities include managing access rights across enterprise systems and applications, including Active Directory, O365, Entra ID/Azure, course and content management systems, and enterprise resource planning systems in collaboration with senior level analysts. The Analyst may also collaborate with project teams and conduct less complex and smaller audits to ensure the security of the environment. The Identity and Access Management Office oversees system access, including creating and removing accounts, authentication, and implementing access controls in a highly complex and dynamic environment. This office is an integral component of Purdue System Security and is dedicated to meeting the access needs of the entire Purdue system.
What We’re Looking For
Education and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree required: Computer Technology, Computer Science, Computer Programming or related IT field preferred
- In lieu of degree, consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required experience (associate’s degree + 4 years of experience; HS/HSE + 6 years of experience)
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in customer service and IT troubleshooting, configuration management, or IT security. Familiarity with ITSM systems like Service Now or TeamDynamix is required.
Preferred
- Experience with identity management, including authoritative sources, identity attributes, access control models, and provisioning and deprovisioning
- Skilled in managing accounts and groups in Active Directory and other LDAP directories
Skills Required
- Possesses a solid understanding of permission and access management along with the associated tools
- Exhibits strong listening, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Skilled in analytical thinking, problem-solving, critical thinking, decision-making, and customer service
- Highly self-motivated and proactive in approach. Capable of prioritizing and executing tasks efficiently while under pressure
- Willingness to develop an understanding of the Purdue IT environment/architecture through experience and communicate with other departments to resolve issues as needed

The anticipated annual salary for this position is $54,320 annually commensurate with the candidate’s education and experience. The final salary offer will be determined based on a variety of factors, including equity, available budget, educational background, and relevant experience.
